Group Impressions
7th June, 1944, British Liberation Army, Rifle Platoon

Digital representation of a British Rifle Platoons organisational structure
At any given event, our group consists of four to ten members, but we can a fully interactive stand with just one member. The flexible nature of our hobby allows us to adapt our presentation.
When we represent the Royal Warwickshire Regiment, our primary focus we adhere to is a realistic military structure based around June 7th, 1944. Currently this is organized as an infantry section led by a Corporal and Lance Corporal, with the size varying based on attendance.
Additionally, we collaborate with two other groups that also portray regiments from the British 3rd Infantry Division, enabling us to create a more extensive British impression, as detailed in the 3IDA section below.
French Resistance
Also known as the FFI (French Forces of the Interior), our groups impression of the French Resistance allows both men and women of the group to pay homage to the brave souls combating the German occupation since 1940. Specifically it is that of the residents of the Normandy area rising up to aid their liberators on D-Day. Our research shows that the FFI were active in the beachhead areas, warning Allied troops about German troops or minefields in the local area.
Rather than a uniform the impression requires practical period civilian clothing and has the option of various weapons. We encourage those considering this impression to be relatively familiar with the French language but this can be learned and is not a prerequisite for joining.

We are part of the 3rd Infantry Division Association (3IDA), which contains other fantastic groups like the Suffolk Regiment Living History Society and the East Yorkshire Regiment Living History Group.
As part of 3IDA, we partake in living history collaborations with these groups to portray the fighting men of British 3rd Infantry Division. This allows us the freedom to portray impressions we would otherwise be unable to do, such as garrisoning barracks in Britain or a full infantry platoon 'in the field' in Normandy.

It also allows members of the individual groups to attend events in other parts of the country as guests of the other groups of 3IDA, allowing a wider, more national (and some international) range of event options to all members of all groups.

We thoroughly enjoy our partnership with the Suffolk's and East Yorkshire groups which allow us to achieve a level of historical accuracy and historical immersion that is seldom found elsewhere in the UK. Please see below for links to both the Suffolk and East York social media pages.
